The front of house role welcomes guests and explains the nutritional benefits of eating more fruits and vegetables throughout the week while blending smoothies, building salads, toasts and smoothie bowls, and keeping a clean work environment and more.

 

Objective

To deliver health-conscious, nutrient-dense and delicious food to the Lake Nona community and its visitors. Veg’n Out products are held to higher standards than other on-the-go food service establishments, and because Veg’n Out is purely plant based, consuming our products helps to build a community of healthy, strong immune systems.

 

• Provide outstanding customer service that contributes to increased sales revenue

• Create menu items to perfection, quickly

• Keep front of house clean, properly rotated and stocked

 

Requirements

 

• Open availability during the week and on the weekends

• Experience in the restaurant or retail industry preferred, but not required

• Able to commit to 20-30 hours per week

• Extended periods of standing (4-8 hours)

• Reaching, bending, and lifting a minimum of 30 lbs

• Strong communication skills 

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment

• Handles cash transactions & counts a register with ease

Role Overview

• Serve customers while providing excellent customer service with high energy and in-depth knowledge about our products

• Create menu items while simultaneously maintaining a clean workspace and appearance to the public

• Document and communicate low calls for perishables and paper goods as they are noticed throughout a shift

• Complete assigned checklists in totality for every shift worked

• Manage quality control, date marking and putting away any deliveries using FIFO method during a shift

• Manage juice cleanse sales, creation, blending and pickups

• Open the front of house properly so the store is completely clean and prepared for the day

• Maintain the front of house so the store is clean and prepared for the remainder of the day

• Close the front or back of the house properly so the store is completely clean and set for the following morning​

• Additional duties upon request, such as bottling juice or prepping for a catering
